Big Bear Automation In Santa Clara requires mechanical/CAD engineers to assist on a 4-5 week contract project. You must be proficient in SolidWorks, have your own seat license and be excellent in machine electro-mechanical assemblies design. You will be working with other engineers in a team to design and detail a specific portion of a production system for machining and fabrication for a single project. This is a 3-6 week contract assignment only, there will not likely be full employment offered at any time. We will expect you to use our conceptual designs, our chosen components, and then construct an electro-mechanical assembly suitable for immediate fabrication, eventual assembly and operation. You will be performing most of these engineering services independently at your own location. We will require you meet regularly with the Engineering Director to evaluate and guide your design during your assignment, and all work must be uploaded to the Cloud daily.
